On Nov 1st 2010, opened the Kamizukan dojo, Brighton.
The dojo name, Kamizukan, means the place (kan) of, fire (ka) and water (mizu) training. The fire element represents the hard physical, practicle side of Aikido, whilst the water element represents the softer flowing techniques of the art.
Sensei, has been practicing Aikido for sixteen years and is a fully qualified registered national coach level 1 with the British Aikido Board, the governing body for Aikido in the Uk.
The Kamizukan dojo is an independant member of the, Shin Gi Tai Aikido Society, headed by Chief instructor Shihan (master teacher) Gwynne Jones 8th dan. Based in Burry Port, South Wales, it is the third largest member of the British Aikido Board.
The membership with a major organisation within the governing body, provides us with excellent courses run throughout the year, insurance, national recognised coaching qualifications, first aid training, and CRB checks. We are responsible for our own standards of ettiquette, training and grading syllabus.
